I worked as a factory-trained technician for Whirlpool and GE before opening this shop, and I trained at Fred's Appliance Academy in Ohio. We treat every repair the way we would want ours treated. Parts are sold at our cost with no markup, our labor rate runs about sixty percent of what the big brands charge, and you will get a straight answer if a machine is not worth fixing. What We Fix
Most of the calls we take fall into three buckets. If your machine is not on this list, ask anyway - between the shop bench and the service van we handle a lot that other companies turn down.
Laundry - Washers and Dryers
Washer will not spin, will not drain, walks across the floor, or fills but never agitates. Dryer runs with no heat, takes three cycles to dry a load, squeals, or shuts off after ten minutes. A lot of homes here have laundry in the basement at the bottom of a tight stairwell, and we are used to working in that space.
Refrigeration - Refrigerators and Freezers
Fridge not cooling, freezer frosting over, ice maker quit, water dispenser dribbling, or a compressor that runs constantly. Sealed-system work is the part most shops will not touch, and we are EPA-certified to do it. We also repair Whirlpool control boards rather than replacing a board that costs more than the fridge is worth.
Kitchen - Ranges, Ovens and Dishwashers
Bake element out, oven not holding temperature, a burner that will not light or will not stop clicking, a broken door latch. Dishwashers that will not drain, leave grit on the glasses, or leak onto the floor. Gas and electric both, and we will tell you plainly when the fix is a fifteen dollar part.

What a Repair Costs

You call, we diagnose
Tell us the make, the model if you can find it, and what the machine is doing. We come out, test it properly, and find the actual cause instead of guessing at a part.

You get a real number before work starts
We quote the parts and the labor before we touch anything, and the repair cost is in addition to the diagnostic cost. If the repair is going to cost more than the appliance is worth, we say so.

We fix it and credit the trip charge
Once you give the go-ahead we order what is needed and come back to finish the job, and part of what you already paid comes off the final bill. No surprise line items at the end.
Service call and trip charge credit
The service call, which includes the diagnostic, is $110 within 35 miles of the shop and $125 at 36 miles and up. That covers the drive, the time, and a real diagnosis you can act on.
If you proceed with the repair, $50 of the initial trip/diagnostic charge will be credited toward the final parts and labor cost when we return to complete the repair.
Parts at cost, honest labor
We sell parts at our cost. No markup, no padding the invoice with a part you did not need. Our labor rate is roughly half what most companies charge, around sixty percent of the Whirlpool and GE rates and sometimes less than that.
