What a Service Call Is
A service call is the visit. You call or text us, we set a time, and a technician drives out to your home or business in Burlington, West Burlington, Mediapolis, Danville, or anywhere else we cover. That visit has one job: find out what is actually wrong with your appliance.
The fee covers a trained technician and a real diagnosis, not a guess. The owner here spent years as a Whirlpool and GE technician, trained at Fred's Appliance Academy in Ohio, and is EPA-certified for sealed-system refrigerator work. You are paying for someone who has seen your problem before, has the meters and the parts knowledge to confirm it, and will tell you straight what it will take to fix. If a repair does not make sense, we will say so.
We aim to provide affordable, quality service without breaking the bank. We enjoy our work and maintain low overhead, which allows us to offer some of the best prices to our customers. That is not a slogan, it is just how a one-truck shop works, and it is why our numbers on this page are lower than you might expect.
What a Service Call Costs
Here are the numbers, plain as we can put them. The service call includes the diagnostic, so you are not paying twice to find out what is wrong. The cost of the repair itself is in addition to the diagnostic cost, and you will hear that number before we do anything.
Within 35 Miles - $110
If you are within 35 miles of our shop in Washington, the service call including the diagnostic is $110. One technician, one trip, and a real answer about what your appliance needs.
36 Miles and Up - $125
At 36 miles and beyond, the service call including the diagnostic is $125. Burlington sits at roughly 60 miles and about an hour and fifteen from the shop, so most Burlington-area calls land in this tier.
$50 Trip Charge Credit
If you proceed with the repair, $50 of the initial trip/diagnostic charge will be credited toward the final parts and labor cost when we return to complete the repair.

Diagnostic First
We come out and find what is actually wrong before anyone talks about parts. Guessing costs you money, so we do not do it. This is what the service call fee pays for.

A Real Number Before We Order
You get the repair cost before we order anything. Parts are billed at our cost is your cost; we do not mark up parts. Labor runs about half of what most companies charge.

We Finish and Credit the $50
We come back, complete the repair, and credit $50 of the trip charge toward your final parts and labor. Repairs happen in-home, in-business, or in the shop, whichever suits you.
Why Our Prices Are Lower
The owner worked as a Whirlpool and GE technician and billed customers at their rates for years. Today he charges about 60% of those rates, and sometimes less. Same training, same certification, a much smaller bill at the end.
There is no dispatch office and no fleet of trucks to pay for. We enjoy our work and maintain low overhead, which allows us to offer some of the best prices to our customers. On top of that, our cost is your cost; we do not mark up parts, so the money you spend goes to the repair instead of a margin.
